Happy(?) New Year..
yes yes i know, i keep complaining on my blog.. all the time.. i realised i have no one to actually complain to.. ppl are tired of listening to me complaining.. i guess thats the reason i started blogging... so lemme warn u.. read at ur own risk..
and yeah, am not reviewing any movie for sometime now.. though i watched raincoat.. :P but see for urself..
Oh forgot to wish u all Happy New Year, i hope u guys achieve what all u want this year.. i ended up making no resolutions at all.. i realised i NEVER work on my resolutions.. so they're still the same, lose weight, speak slow, blah blah
its been long time i blogged.. lemme see what happened.. had a couple of ragging sessions (orientation) with the new JC scholars from India.. it was a lot of fun.. they suddenly turned very sporty in a day..
31st didnt go as planned.. all of us wanted to go zouk for new years.. shiven especially.. we went there TOO early to get the discounted passes.. but that only started at 8.. so we went for orientation at youth park.. which is an annual thingy for 31st.. had some fun there.. then decided to go china black, which seemed really crowded, expensive and bad crowd.. so i had my meal at kfc, then went BK, then went near taka on orchard for the countdown.. it was maddening!!! like anyone spray anyone.. like holi in india.. ppl spraying foam on EVERYBODY.. that was really good fun though.. go wild! then went to youth park AGAIN.. this time bought smirnoff.. and sprite.. so the plan to booze into the new year didnt fail.. :)
i slept thru the whole of first.. so i guess thats what am gonna do the whole of this year.. forgot to call home and wish.. and then, mom called e last night, i guess she dialled wrong number, and some girl picked up.. and it was noisy... so my mom, as usual got suspicious. and i woke up in the evening to find so many sms! she was worried for sure.. ;)
i dun remember what i did on 2nd.. i vaguely remember watching a dreadful movie elf!! and sulking about hols getting over..
college started on 3rd, and to boon keng's shock, i went for the first lecture, and the second.. and then me sarah and shiven went for marketing tutorial, and waited like dumbos for half an hour!! noone came!
today was really bad.. i skipped lectures.. haha.. both computing and physics.. planned to go for movie with sarah, end moment she got headache, so cancelled AGAIN! then went orchard.. had a nice coffee at coffee bean, redeeemed my voucher at last.. i bought 3 books from borders.. the best thing i did in ages!! The last song of dusk by siddharth shanghvi.. a book i wanted to read for along time.. then this one called the No.1 Ladies' detective Agency by alexander mcnall smith, finally Loot and other stories by Nadine Gordimer, a nobel prize winner.. the story Loot btw went over my head.. the second one am mid way thru it pretty good.. written very differently..
in the meantime.. lionel came back from india just managing to escape tsunami.. tsunami conditions got worse eveywhere.. 150000 dead.. jeez. the funniest oart was this artcile on times of India where astrologers predicted the D day coming soon, and this was the beginning with another disaster up in june 2005.. lets see.. they say the world shud start getting more spiritual.. they are what i call wela ppl.. bored, wasted and free like me..
my bro not coming anymore.. hehe.. will try to get him in mid sem break.. otherwise next sem!
Xiao Rong moving into hall 5 block 30 this week.. haha.. might actually get to know my block ppl thru her i hope..
TJC class outing coming soon.. last time went crystal jade.. awesome food.. the only postive things i realised that happen in hols were 1.) the pre worlds socials sub comm, which gave me lots of points without doing much, and free booze.. 2.) trying local food.. xiao long pao courtesy TJC0302 ppl, and chomp chomp.. i LOVED chomp chomp... the stingray rocked completely. so did sugarcane juice, carrot cake.. thanx to BK and Sarah and Xiao Rong.. 3.) a couple of great movies to watch.. 4.) results were better than expected.. though i shud be ashamed..
